The main forms of foreign investment:

Sino-foreign equity joint venture
Sino-foreign cooperative joint venture
Wholly foreign owned enterprises
Buying out or holding shares of the state-owned enterprises
Buying "Share B" issued by the enterprises in Qingdao


The procedures of land granting, transferring, and leasing as well as related policies and fees

In Qingdao area, foreign investors can obtain the land-use rights in three ways:
1. land granting,
2. land transfer,
3. land lease.

The main procedures of granting land are as follows:
A. The land authorities provide the intended grantee of land-use right with necessary information about the land and relevant regulations;
B. Having obtained the information, the grantee of land-use right shall submit the land authorities the development proposals as well as other papers including the ways to pay the land premiums within the proposed period.
C. The land authorities shall give a reply within 30 days after receiving the grantee's papers mentioned above.
D. Having reached an agreement after negotiation, the land authorities and the grantee shall sign a contract between them and the grantee shall then pay a land deposit.
E. The grantee shall pay the land premiums according to the contact and then can obtain the land-use certificate while registering the land-use right.
